FAQs

Q?

Does the Commercial Wrap Worth It? Should I Get a Full Wrap or Partial Wrap?

A.

Vehicle wrapping is the most cost effective form of advertising!
When you get your vehicle wrapped you actually turn it into a 24-7 high impact mobile billboard. While an actual street-side billboard could costs thousands a month, the wrap will last 5 years and it will cost you only 1$ a day!

Here are some facts:

  • The American Trucking Association (ATA) reported 91% of people surveyed do notice vehicle graphics.
  • The Traffic Audit Bureau for Media Measurement demonstrated that a vehicle can generate between 30K – 70K impressions daily.
  • According to 3M (a prominent tape and vinyl substrate provider) a company would need to spend $130,000 in advertising dollars to produce the same effects of a $3,500 vehicle wrap.
  • Studies effectively show vehicle graphics make name recognition more than 15 times greater.

Can you name even one other effective piece of advertising that costs you only $1 or $2 a day??  Pay per clicks don’t.  Trade magazine ads don’t.  How much is a radio ad these days? A billboard placement? Even commercials, which need to be filmed, produced and aired – are they a couple of dollars a day?

That being said. A tasteful full wrap with an eye-popping design will be always more noticeable than some affordable lettering or partial wraps. A full wrap might cost more but it will definitely give you a greater exposure and let's not forget that you only have to spend a little bit extra only one time. If you decide to get your car re wrapped from partial to full wrap, we need to remove  the partial wrap and re do the whole car all over again.

Q?

Would the Wrap Protect the Paint Job?

A.

This will depend on a few variables. First, whether or not the paint job is OEM or was it repainted at some point.  Second, the age of the paint job.  Older paints will eventually oxidize.  And lastly, the length of time that the vinyl wrap is on the vehicle.  Most vinyl wrap manufacturers will warranty their material for clean removability for a certain number of years.  In any case, there are always some chance of some clear coat coming off with the wrap, depending on these variables.

Q?

Can a Leased Car be Wrapped?

A.

YES! Vinyl vehicle wraps have technology built into the vinyl adhesive that makes them safely removable by a professional installer.  If you've leased your vehicle, have no fear, it can be wrapped and removed.

Q?

Do I Need to Get My Car’s Body Work Fixed Before the Wrap?

A.

The answer in most cases are no.
That said, it is really important to know that a wrap will not fix nor completely hide the blemishes of the paint.
We can wrap over dents and bad paint but we do not guarantee that upon removal the paint will be undamaged. If you want to wrap up your commercial car and you do not care about that happens when the wrap comes off  then we have no problem covering your car, van or truck and it will look like a "new vehicle".

Q?

Is the Wrap a Cheaper option Compared to Paint?

A.

Yes and No;
Very important; car wraps are not meant to fix your paint. They are also not cheap. The material itself is expensive and many man-hours need to be put in to complete a quality car wrap project. Like paint, a lot of experience is involved and only highly skilled people can perform the wrap job flawlessly.

There is a time to paint and a time to wrap. That said, the cost of wrap vs paint is an important factor when making a decision. In most circumstances, a car wrap job will cost the same as painting your car. Of course, price varies on quality. A low quality paint job will likely cost less than a high quality wrap, and vise versa. In the end, you want a high-quality result. A high-quality result doesn’t come cheap.

The problem is, most people think of paint as being all the same and wraps as being all the same. They often make the mistake of comparing an average paint job with a high-quality wrap where the price might be similar, but the end results are nothing but.

Exceptions: In some cases Wraps does costs less than paint jobs. When it comes to wraps you can chose from several different finishes without doubling or tripling the price. A A Satin or matte metallic paint job would cost a LOT more compared to wrap. Brushed finish paint jobs would cost triple of the wrap job's price.
Also really important to keep in mind that not all cars painted for the same price.
A good paint job on a newer luxury car will cost more than a wrap any day-every day.

This all said, here is the number one thing you need to know when it comes to making a decision whether to wrap your car or paint your car:

If your paint is good, you wrap. If your paint is bad, you paint.

Q?

Can I Get My Car Wrapped If My Car Has a Bad Paint?

A.

Most of the time, doing a car wrap to fix bad paint is not a viable option. You need good paint to start with. Any imperfections in your paint will show through the wrap. If your paint is weak, for example, a failing clear coat, it might not resist when peeling the wrap off.

When comparing wrap vs paint, the main point of using vinyl to change your car’s appearance is that it’s reversible. Meaning, if you change your mind, or need to return the car to stock to sell it, you can always revert back to the original state. But when your paint is bad, you really don’t have a good base to apply the wrap to. Your paint does not need to be show-quality to accept a wrap. It does however need to be healthy, with a strong clear coat and no deep scratches, dents, corrosion or other roughness.
